Special Bookings

On days when Mirehouse is not otherwise open to visitors, specialist tours of the house may be arranged at a special rate of £12.50 per person (with a minimum charge of £187.50).  Knowledgeable, friendly guides will do a comprehensive introduction at the front of the house followed by the opportunity for visitors to wander at leisure through the rooms which are open to visitors.  A walk round the gardens and grounds, including down to Bassenthwaite Lake, could follow with a chance to end up at The Old Sawmill Tearoom if that suits.

School parties are welcome in the grounds by appointment and attract a 10% discount.  The grounds at Mirehouse have four woodland play areas, ample picnic space in the Bee Garden and on the Victorian venrandah, lots of space to burn off excess energy and a wet weather option at a special schools rate.  Please contact us by email or telephone to discuss further.
